Down one floor from the Hospital Wing Floo Flame, there is a very long (and often foggy) hallway leading to the Bell Tower, where the key will be flying around near the center. It is flying around on the third floor of the Faculty Tower, just in front of an Arithmancy Door and near the door with balloons.
